A long-term investment in Walla Walla County
Project Walla Walla is a proposed digital infrastructure campus being developed by Amazon in Walla Walla County. It’s designed to support the growing computing capacity that businesses, researchers, hospitals, and public agencies increasingly depend on — from everyday cloud services to the next generation of AI tools.
We’re still early. Site selection, permitting, and engineering are underway, and this page will be updated as decisions are made. Our approach is to share what we know, acknowledge what we don’t yet know, and correct the record where rumors have outpaced facts.

Pays its own way
The project will fund its own energy and utility infrastructure. Existing residential customers should not see their rates rise to subsidize it.

Minimizes water use
The campus is designed to conserve water, relying on outdoor air for cooling most of the year, with most ongoing water use going to standard building needs.

Creates local jobs
Construction trades first, then permanent operations, engineering, and security roles, with a preference for local hiring and contractors.

Reports publicly
An independent, publicly available audit is intended to track whether these commitments are actually being kept, on a regular cadence.
